Mike Mizner is a multi-agency scuba instructor with years of teaching experience. Since 2011, Mike has certified hundreds of recreational and technical students in both the calm, clear waters of Lake Mead, Nevada, to the cold, dark, and turbulent waters of the Pacific Ocean. On most weekends you will find Mike fun diving and instructing around Southern California’s Channel Islands.
After several years of diving the JJ-CCR, Mike earned his instructor qualification in 2021. He now enjoys
helping new CCR divers master the JJ—the world’s premier rebreather.
Mike is a serial dive trip vacationer. He regularly travels with recreational and technical diving students
to destinations worldwide. Mike also serves as a Public Safety Diver and SAR dive team trainer with the
Ventura County (CA) Sheriff’s Office.
